The Company

WCCI is a paralegal services company with a business management consulting focus and with specific expertise in workplace safety and insurance matters. Established in 1991, the firm delivers a wide range of risk management services including case management, dispute resolution, appeals representation and experience rating assessment audits. Through its’ links with other service providers, WCCI is also able to provide integrated service in health and safety, medical rehabilitation, ergonomics, payroll audits and private investigation.

The firm specializes in onsite, hands–on case management. We also deliver process audit and cost recovery audit services.

Our Personnel

Our staff and associates have accumulated over 100 years experience in the field of workplace safety and insurance management.

Our clients benefit from the personal service of the firm’s president, Randy Mackonka, who is directly involved in every project. His expertise has been accumulated in his 12 year career with the WSIB and his 35 years of consulting service to employers across Canada. WCCI has achieved cash rebates on their behalf totalling in excess of $37.9 million.

WCCI’s strengths include its’ superior knowledge and ability to cut through the workers’ compensation system and perform as a dogged expediter, achieving favourable decisions on behalf of its’ clients.

Randy Mackonka – Executive consulting Paralegal and Project Coordinator

As President of WCCI, Randy brings over 32 years of experience in the field of workers’ compensation, including positions with the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board in claims adjudication, training, claims investigation and management, coupled with his firm’s successes in the consulting field representing the business community. He is a licensed paralegal by the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Randy has also expanded his expertise to the rehabilitation field in his former capacity of Director of a vocational evaluation service.

With a B.A. from the University of Toronto and Certification in Dispute Resolution, Randy delivers effective onsite Mediation and Hearings representation in all matters relative to workers’ compensation and re–employment issues in dispute.

Maintaining a cutting–edge knowledge of emerging issues, Randy frequently represents employers at Hearings before the WSIB and WSIAT on claims, re–employment and classification issues.
